The Cathedral of Seville was built on the site of a mosque, it's one of the largest church in the world. The construction begans on 1402 and it wont be finish until 1506. The builders used some columns and elements from the mosque that were preserved in the cathedral: the Moorish entrance court (Patio de los Naranjos); and the bell tower la Giralda and its the most famous symbol in Seville.

The interior of the cathedral is the longest nave in Spain. With a central nave and four side aisles rises to a height of 42 metres and is lavishly decorated. Other notable works of art in the cathedral include 15th-century stained-glass windows and the iron screens (rejas) closing off the chapels
